A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in hlstats 1.34. This issue affects an unknown code of the file hlstats.php. The manipulation of the argument q with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in hlstats.php in HLstats 1.34 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the q parameter.
The weakness was published 08/29/2006 by kefka (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4454 since 08/30/2006.
