A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in OpenSolution Quick.CMS 6.8. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the component Page Editor. QuickCMS is vulnerable to Stored XSS in sTitle parameter in page editor functionality. Malicious attacker with admin privileges can inject arbitrary HTML and JS into website, which will be rendered/executed when visiting edited page. Regular admin user is not able to inject any JS scripts into the page. The vendor was notified early about this vulnerability, but didn't respond with the details of vulnerability or vulnerable version range. Only version 6.8 was tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested and might also be vulnerable.
The weakness was disclosed by Kamil Szczurowski and Robert Kruczek. The advisory is shared at cert.pl. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2025-54172 since 07/17/2025. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are required for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
