A vulnerability has been found in vim up to 9.1.1615 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function main of the file src/xxd/xxd.c of the component xxd. The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow.
