A vulnerability was found in Longino Jacome php-Revista 1.1.2 (Programming Language Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file busqueda.php. The manipulation of the argument email with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Longino Jacome php-Revista 1.1.2 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) cadena parameter in busqueda.php and the (2) email parameter in lista.php.
The weakness was published 09/01/2006 by SirDarckCat as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4608 since 09/06/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
A public exploit has been developed by SirDarckCat and been published 3 years after the advisory. The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:busqueda.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
