The manipulation of the argument page[] with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-200. index.php in SoftBB 0.1, and possibly earlier, allows remote attackers to obtain the installation path via a null or invalid page[] parameter.
The weakness was released 09/08/2006 by DarkFig (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2006-4633 since 09/08/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
