Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in docjojo atec Debug Plugin up to 1.2.22 on WordPress. Affected is an unknown code. The manipulation of the argument custom_log with an unknown input leads to a absolute path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-36. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize absolute path sequences such as "/abs/path" that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
The atec Debug plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file read in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.22 via the 'custom_log' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to view the contents of files outside of the originally intended directory.
