A vulnerability was found in Comscripts PHProg 1.0. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument lang with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in PHProg before 1.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the lang parameter.
