A vulnerability was found in Google Android 13/14/15/16. It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function isSystemUid of the file AccountManagerService.java. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a local privilege escalation vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-441. The product receives a request, message, or directive from an upstream component, but the product does not sufficiently preserve the original source of the request before forwarding the request to an external actor that is outside of the product's control sphere. In isSystemUid of AccountManagerService.java, there is a possible way for an app to access privileged APIs due to a confused deputy. This could lead to local privilege escalation with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
