A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 5.15.99/6.1.17/6.2.4. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function debugfs_lookup. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: fotg210: fix memory leak with using debugfs_lookup() When calling debugfs_lookup() the result must have dput() called on it, otherwise the memory will leak over time. To make things simpler, just call debugfs_lookup_and_remove() instead which handles all of the logic at once.
