A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 5.15.99/6.1.17/6.2.4. This issue affects the function debugfs_lookup. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: gadget: pxa27x_udc: fix memory leak with using debugfs_lookup() When calling debugfs_lookup() the result must have dput() called on it, otherwise the memory will leak over time. To make things simpler, just call debugfs_lookup_and_remove() instead which handles all of the logic at once.

The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
