A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Joshua Muheim phpMyWebmin 1.0 (Software Management Software). This issue affects the function opendir of the file window.php. The manipulation of the argument target with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-200. Directory traversal vulnerability in window.php, possibly used by home.php, in Joshua Muheim phpMyWebmin 1.0 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a directory name in the target parameter, which triggers a directory listing through the opendir function.

The weakness was released 10/03/2006 by Kernel-32 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at milw0rm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-5125 since 10/02/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1592 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
