A vulnerability was found in PoDoFo up to 0.10.5 and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function PdfTokenizer::ReadDictionary of the component PDF File Parser. A heap-use-after free in the PdfTokenizer::ReadDictionary function of podofo v0.10.0 to v0.10.5 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by supplying a crafted PDF file. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because there is no available file to reproduce the issue.
The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-46205 since 04/22/2025. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
