Details
A vulnerability was found in D-Link Nuclias Connect. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file /api/web/dnc/global/database/deleteBackup. The manipulation of the argument deleteBackupList with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
D-Link Nuclias Connect firmware versions < 1.3.1.4 contain a directory traversal vulnerability within /api/web/dnc/global/database/deleteBackup due to improper sanitization of the deleteBackupList parameter. This can allow an authenticated attacker to delete arbitrary files impacting the integrity and availability of the system.
