A vulnerability has been found in themeisle Redirection for Contact Form 7 Plugin up to 3.2.6 on WordPress and classified as problematic. The Redirection for Contact Form 7 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's qs_date shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The weakness was released by Muhammad Yudha. The advisory is shared at wordfence.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2025-9562 since 08/27/2025. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
