A vulnerability was found in Sun Solaris 8.0/9.0/10.0 (Operating System) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function strfreectty of the component Special File System. Unspecified vulnerability in the strfreectty function in the Special File System (SPECFS) in Sun Solaris 8 through 10 allows local users to cause a denial of service (system panic), related to passing a NULL pointer to the pgsignal function.
The bug was discovered 08/31/2007. The weakness was published 09/03/2007 with Sun Microsystems (Website). The advisory is available at sunsolve.sun.com.
