The console in AirMagnet Enterprise before 7.5 build 6307 does not properly validate the Enterprise Server certificate, which allows remote attackers to read network traffic via a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack, possibly related to the use of self-signed certificates.

The weakness was disclosed 10/18/2006 by Positive Technologies (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-5746 since 11/06/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
