A vulnerability was found in Advantech iView. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component SNMP Management Tool. Advantech iView versions prior to v5.7.04 build 6425 contain a vulnerability within the SNMP management tool that allows for remote attackers to bypass authentication checks and reach a SQL injection vulnerability within the ‘ztp_search_value’ parameter to the ‘NetworkServlet’ endpoint. Successful exploitation allows for remote code execution with administrator privileges.
The weakness was released by Exodus Intelligence. The advisory is shared for download at advantech.tw. This vulnerability was named CVE-2022-50595 since 11/05/2025. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Upgrading to version 5.7.04 Build 6425 eliminates this vulnerability.
