Details
A vulnerability was found in SAP Business Connector (version now known). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Due to a Path Traversal vulnerability in SAP Business Connector, an attacker authenticated as an administrator with adjacent access could read, write, overwrite, and delete arbitrary files on the host system. Successful exploitation could enable the attacker to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the server, resulting in a complete compromise of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system.
