A vulnerability was found in Xitami HTTP Server (Web Server) (affected version not known). It has been classified as critical. This affects some unknown functionality of the component HTTP Request If-Modified-Since Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Multiple buffer overflows in iMatix Xitami Web Server 2.5c2 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long If-Modified-Since header to (1) xigui32.exe or (2) xitami.exe.
The weakness was disclosed 09/24/2007 by Krystian Kloskowski (h07) (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-5067 since 09/24/2007. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
