A vulnerability has been found in Barracuda Spam Firewall (Firewall Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component Monitor Web Syslog. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Web administration interface in Barracuda Spam Firewall before firmware 3.5.10.016 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the username field in a login attempt, which is not properly handled when the Monitor Web Syslog screen is open.
The weakness was shared 09/24/2007 by Federico Kirschbaum (Website). The advisory is available at barracudanetworks.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-5058 since 09/24/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
