Details
A vulnerability has been found in Etomite 0.6.1.2 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in manager/index.php in Etomite 0.6.1.2 allows remote authenticated administrators to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the f parameter, as demonstrated by injecting PHP sequences into an Apache HTTP Server log file, which is then included by index.php.
