Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Circutor SGE-PLC1000 and SGE-PLC50 9.0.2. This affects the function ShowMeterPasswords. The manipulation of the argument meter with an unknown input leads to a stack-based overflow vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-121. A stack-based buffer overflow condition is a condition where the buffer being overwritten is allocated on the stack (i.e., is a local variable or, rarely, a parameter to a function). This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Circutor SGE-PLC1000/SGE-PLC50 v9.0.2. In the 'ShowMeterPasswords()' function, there is an unlimited user input that is copied to a fixed-size buffer via 'sprintf()'. The 'GetParameter(meter)' function retrieves the user input, which is directly incorporated into a buffer without size validation. An attacker can provide an excessively large input for the 'meter' parameter.
The weakness was disclosed by Gabriel Gonzalez and Sergio Ruiz. It is possible to read the advisory at incibe.es. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2025-11785 since 10/15/2025. The exploitability is told to be easy. The attack needs to approached within the local network. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
