A vulnerability has been found in Acer LunchApp.APlunch (affected version not known) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component ActiveX Control. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Acer Notebook LunchApp.APlunch ActiveX control allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by calling the Run method.
The bug was discovered 11/19/2006. The weakness was presented 11/26/2006 by Tan Chew Keong as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-6121 since 11/26/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
