Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in jce.php in the JCE Admin Component in Ryan Demmer Joomla Content Editor (JCE) 1.0.4 for Joomla! (com_jce), without the 20060821 jce_patch, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the mosConfig_live_site parameter.

The weakness was disclosed 11/28/2006 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cellardoor.za.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-6166. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
