A vulnerability was found in Webmin up to 2.599. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file squid/cachemgr.cgi of the component Squid Module. squid/cachemgr.cgi in Webmin before 2.600 does not properly quote arguments. This is relevant if Webmin's Squid module and its Cache Manager feature are available, and an untrusted party is able to authenticate to Webmin and has certain Cache Manager permissions (the "cms" security option).
The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-67738 since 12/11/2025. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely.
