Details
A vulnerability was found in Dormakaba Saflok System 6000 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown part. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper finite state machines in hardware logic vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-1245. Faulty finite state machines (FSMs) in the hardware logic allow an attacker to put the system in an undefined state, to cause a denial of service (DoS) or gain privileges on the victim's system. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Dormakaba Saflok System 6000 contains a predictable key generation algorithm that allows attackers to derive card access keys from a 32-bit unique identifier. Attackers can exploit the deterministic key generation process by calculating valid access keys using a simple mathematical transformation of the card's unique identifier.
The weakness was published by a51199deefa2c2520cea24f746d899ce as 51832. The advisory is available at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2024-58311 since 12/11/2025. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack needs to be done within the local network. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
