A vulnerability was found in TorrentFlux 2.2 (Peer-to-Peer Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file metainfo.php. The manipulation of the argument cfg["enable_file_priority" with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. metaInfo.php in TorrentFlux 2.2, when $cfg["enable_file_priority"] is false, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters (backticks) in the torrent parameter to (1) details.php and (2) startpop.php.
The weakness was disclosed 12/06/2006 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at bugs.debian.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-6331 since 12/06/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
