Details
A vulnerability was found in NetSupport Manager up to 14.12.0. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component HTTPS Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
NetSupport Manager < 14.12.0001 contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in its Connectivity Server/Gateway HTTPS request handling. The server evaluates request URIs using an unsanitized SQLite query against the FileLinks table in gateway.db. By injecting SQL through the LinkName/URI value, a remote attacker can control the FileName field used by the server to read and return files from disk, resulting in arbitrary local file disclosure.
