Details
A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.12.62/6.17.12/6.18.1 and classified as critical. The impact remains unknown. CVE summarizes:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Free special fields when update [lru_,]percpu_hash maps As [lru_,]percpu_hash maps support BPF_KPTR_{REF,PERCPU}, missing calls to 'bpf_obj_free_fields()' in 'pcpu_copy_value()' could cause the memory referenced by BPF_KPTR_{REF,PERCPU} fields to be held until the map gets freed. Fix this by calling 'bpf_obj_free_fields()' after 'copy_map_value[,_long]()' in 'pcpu_copy_value()'.
The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2025-68744 since 12/24/2025. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 01/12/2026).
