Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in aio-libs aiohttp up to 3.13.2. Affected is an unknown functionality of the component Python HTTP Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a request smuggling vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-444. The product acts as an intermediary HTTP agent
(such as a proxy or firewall) in the data flow between two
entities such as a client and server, but it does not
interpret malformed HTTP requests or responses in ways that
are consistent with how the messages will be processed by
those entities that are at the ultimate destination. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Versions 3.13.2 and below of the Python HTTP parser may allow a request smuggling attack with the presence of non-ASCII characters. If a pure Python version of AIOHTTP is installed (i.e. without the usual C extensions) or AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS is enabled, then an attacker may be able to execute a request smuggling attack to bypass certain firewalls or proxy protections. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.3.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2025-69224 since 12/29/2025. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
