A vulnerability was found in anilankola Newsletter Email Subscribe Plugin up to 2.4 on WordPress. It has been rated as problematic. The Newsletter Email Subscribe plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 2.4. This is due to incorrect nonce validation on the nels_settings_page function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update plugin settings via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
The weakness was disclosed by Muhammad Afnaan. The advisory is shared for download at wordfence.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2025-14904 since 12/18/2025.
