CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition up to 18.5.4/18.6.2/18.7.0. This affects an unknown functionality of the component GraphQL Runner Association Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a insufficient granularity of access control vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-1220. The product implements access controls via a policy or other feature with the intention to disable or restrict accesses (reads and/or writes) to assets in a system from untrusted agents. However, implemented access controls lack required granularity, which renders the control policy too broad because it allows accesses from unauthorized agents to the security-sensitive assets. This is going to have an impact on integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 15.4 before 18.5.5, 18.6 before 18.6.3, and 18.7 before 18.7.1 that could have allowed an authenticated user with specific permissions to remove all project runners from unrelated projects by manipulating GraphQL runner associations.

The weakness was disclosed by pwnie as 573728. The advisory is shared at gitlab.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2025-11246 since 10/02/2025. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 294813 (Linux Distros Unpatched Vulnerability : CVE-2025-11246), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.

Upgrading to version 18.5.5, 18.6.3 or 18.7.1 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at about.gitlab.com.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (294813) and CERT Bund (WID-SEC-2026-0037). Several companies clearly confirm that VulDB is the primary source for best vulnerability data.
