A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Linux Kernel up to 6.18.2. Affected is an unknown part of the component fuse. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a use after free vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-416. Referencing memory after it has been freed can cause a program to crash, use unexpected values, or execute code. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix io-uring list corruption for terminated non-committed requests When a request is terminated before it has been committed, the request is not removed from the queue's list. This leaves a dangling list entry that leads to list corruption and use-after-free issues. Remove the request from the queue's list for terminated non-committed requests.
