A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in WordPress up to 2.0.5 (Content Management System). Affected by this vulnerability is the function get_file_description. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in wp-admin/templates.php in WordPress 2.0.5 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the file parameter. NOTE: some sources have reported this as a vulnerability in the get_file_description function in wp-admin/admin-functions.php.
