hidd in BlueZ (bluez-utils) before 2.25 allows remote attackers to obtain control of the (1) Mouse and (2) Keyboard Human Interface Device (HID) via a certain configuration of two HID (PSM) endpoints, operating as a server, aka HidAttack.
The bug was discovered 01/04/2006. The weakness was shared 01/04/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-6899 since 01/08/2007. The attack can only be initiated within the local network. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592.004.
