A vulnerability was found in MySQL 5.0.30/5.1.13 (Database Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown function of the file sql_select.cc. sql_select.cc in MySQL 5.0.x before 5.0.32 and 5.1.x before 5.1.14 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (crash) via an EXPLAIN SELECT FROM on the INFORMATION_SCHEMA table, as originally demonstrated using ORDER BY.

The bug was discovered 09/16/2006. The weakness was presented 12/31/2006 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at bugs.mysql.com.
