Details
A vulnerability was found in AutomationDirect CLICK Programmable Logic Controller up to C0-0x/C0-1x/C2-x/V3.89. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component Project File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a weak password encoding vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-261. Obscuring a password with a trivial encoding does not protect the password. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
An attacker with access to the project file could use the exposed credentials to impersonate users, escalate privileges, or gain unauthorized access to systems and services. The absence of robust encryption or secure handling mechanisms increases the likelihood of this type of exploitation, leaving sensitive information more vulnerable.
The weakness was disclosed by Dylan Chambers Bourgeois as icsa-26-022-02. The advisory is available at cisa.gov. This vulnerability was named CVE-2025-67652 since 12/09/2025.
