A vulnerability classified as critical was found in VerliAdmin 0.3. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file language.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in language.php in VerliAdmin 0.3 and earlier, when magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the lang cookie, as demonstrated by injecting PHP sequences into an Apache HTTP Server log file, which is then included by language.php.
