A vulnerability was found in WordPress up to 2.0.5 (Content Management System). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component CSRF Protection. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the CSRF protection scheme in WordPress before 2.0.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a CSRF attack with an invalid token and quote characters or HTML tags in URL variable names, which are not properly handled when WordPress generates a new link to verify the request.
The weakness was published 01/05/2007 by Stefan Esser (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-0106 since 01/08/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

Upgrading to version 2.0.6 eliminates this vulnerability.
