A vulnerability was found in bolo-blog bolo-solo up to 2.6.4. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function importFromMarkdown of the file src/main/java/org/b3log/solo/bolo/prop/BackupService.java of the component Filename Handler. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
