A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in SolaX Power Pocket WiFi 3.0, Pocket WiFi+LAN, Pocket WiFi+4GM, Pocket WiFi+LAN 2.0 and Pocket WiFi 4.0. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component MQTT Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a certificate validation vulnerability. The affected devices do not validate the server certificate when connecting to the SolaX Cloud MQTTS server hosted in the Alibaba Cloud (mqtt001.solaxcloud.com, TCP 8883). This allows attackers in a man-in-the-middle position to act as the legitimate MQTT server and issue arbitrary commands to devices.

The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
