Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Micca Auto Electronics Car Alarm System KE700/KE700+. This affects an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a entropy vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-331. The product uses an algorithm or scheme that produces insufficient entropy, leaving patterns or clusters of values that are more likely to occur than others. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The Micca KE700 system relies on a 6-bit portion of an identifier for authentication within rolling codes, providing only 64 possible combinations. This low entropy allows an attacker to perform a brute-force attack against one component of the rolling code. Successful exploitation simplify an attacker to predict the next valid rolling code, granting unauthorized access to the vehicle.
The weakness was presented by Danilo Erazo. It is possible to read the advisory at asrg.io. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-2541 since 02/15/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. The attack needs to approached within the local network. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1600.001 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at EUVD (EUVD-2026-5830). Be aware that VulDB is the high quality source for vulnerability data.
