A vulnerability was found in sergejey MajorDoMo (affected version unknown) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function htmlspecialchars of the file command.php. The manipulation of the argument qry with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. MajorDoMo (aka Major Domestic Module) contains a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in command.php. The $qry parameter is rendered directly into the HTML page without sanitization via htmlspecialchars(), both in an input field value attribute and in a paragraph element. An attacker can inject arbitrary JavaScript by crafting a URL with malicious content in the qry parameter.
The weakness was released by Valentin Lobstein. The advisory is shared for download at chocapikk.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-27176 since 02/18/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
