A vulnerability was found in SPIP up to 4.3.8/4.4.4 and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component URL Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Impacted is integrity. The summary by CVE is:
SPIP before 4.4.5 and 4.3.9 allows an Open Redirect via the login form when used in AJAX mode. An attacker can craft a malicious URL that, when visited by a victim, redirects them to an arbitrary external site after login. This vulnerability only affects sites where the login page has been overridden to function in AJAX mode. It is not mitigated by the SPIP security screen.
