Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in jm33-m0 emp3r0r up to 3.21.1 on Linux. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:
emp3r0r is a C2 designed by Linux users for Linux environments. Prior to version 3.21.2, multiple shared maps are accessed without consistent synchronization across goroutines. Under concurrent activity, Go runtime can trigger `fatal error: concurrent map read and map write`, causing C2 process crash (availability loss). Version 3.21.2 fixes this issue.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-26201 since 02/11/2026. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
