The SPIP interface_traduction_objets plugin versions prior to 2.2.2 contain an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the translation interface workflow. The plugin incorporates untrusted request data into a hidden form field that is rendered without SPIP output filtering. Because fields prefixed with an underscore bypass protection mechanisms and the hidden content is rendered with filtering disabled, an authenticated attacker with editor-level privileges can inject crafted content that is evaluated through SPIP's template processing chain, resulting in execution of code in the context of the web server.
The weakness was disclosed by Valentin Lobstein. It is possible to read the advisory at plugins.spip.net. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-27745 since 02/23/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version 2.2.2 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch db3417b7811774f04c3ff191ca1737fe660ef0be is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.spip.net. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
