A vulnerability was found in Octopus Deploy Octopus Server. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component API Endpoint. In affected version of Octopus Deploy it was possible to remove files and/or contents of files on the host using an API endpoint. The field lacked validation which could potentially result in ways to circumvent expected workflows.
The weakness was presented by Oub3Ll4. The advisory is available at advisories.octopus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-0704 since 01/08/2026. The exploitation appears to be difficult.
