A vulnerability was found in BigBlueButton up to 3.0.19 and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function respondWithRedirect. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Impacted is integrity. BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. In versions on the 3.x branch prior to 3.0.20, the string received with errorRedirectUrl lacks validation, using it directly in the respondWithRedirect function leads to an Open Redirect vulnerability. BigBlueButton 3.0.20 patches the issue. No known workarounds are available.
