Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in GNOME libsoup (affected version unknown). Affected is an unknown functionality of the component HTTP Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a crlf injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-93. The product uses CRLF (carriage return line feeds) as a special element, e.g. to separate lines or records, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes CRLF sequences from inputs. This is going to have an impact on integrity. CVE summarizes:
A flaw was found in libsoup. A remote attacker, by controlling the method parameter of the `soup_message_new()` function, could inject arbitrary headers and additional request data. This vulnerability, known as CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed) injection, occurs because the method value is not properly escaped during request line construction, potentially leading to HTTP request injection.
