A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Windows 2000/NT/Server 2003/XP (Operating System). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the component HTML Help. Stack-based buffer overflow in the PCHealth system in the Help and Support Center function in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long query in an HCP URL.
The bug was discovered 10/24/2003. The weakness was published 10/24/2003 by Brett Moore with Security-Assessment.com und Snosoft as not defined posting (Bugtraq).
